A Pakistan army helicopter is trying to reach three British climbers who are stranded on a peak in the country's north.
Two climbers have so far been airlifted to safety after the five-member British team had an accident at Koyo Zom peak in the Hindu Raj mountain range on Sunday.
Karrar Haidi, the secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, said on Monday that the three remaining climbers have been spotted on the 22,545ft (6,872m) peak, and that a helicopter rescue is underway.
He did not elaborate on the nature of the accident.
Hundreds of local and foreign climbers scale mountains and peaks in northern Pakistan every year and accidents are common due to avalanches and sudden changes in weather.
