The investigation opened in the Supreme Court Prosecutor's Office on King Emeritus has not stopped the plans of his close friend Corinna Larsen to take legal action against him. So much so that the German businesswoman is finalizing the complaint that she will file against Juan Carlos I and former CNI director Félix Sanz Roldán before the British Justice for the threats that he would have received in 2012 and which, he claims, affected both her and his family. According to sources in her defense to La Información, the filing of the complaint has been delayed due to the judicial halt suffered by the coronavirus crisis but the management will be carried out soon. This is a movement that coincides with the investigation that the Supreme Court Prosecutor's Office has undertaken on King Emeritus in order to clarify whether he committed a fiscal crime with the collection in 2008 of a donation of $ 100 million made by the then monarch of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud. The investigations, which are limited to the events that have occurred since his abdication in June 2014, began as a result of a previous investigation in the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office that inquired whether commissions were paid in the award of the AVE train that was to link Mecca and Medina. Corinna, who was the recipient of this donation when Juan Carlos I transferred nearly 65 million euros to her in 2012, has already announced that she will go to the courts in the United Kingdom. The businesswoman, who has testified in the Swiss investigation into the King's fortune, assures that the money was given to him by the Emeritus for the love he had for her and her son. However, that same 2012 and once the relationship ended, the German received threats from the then director general of the CNI. This was stated in writing in a notarial act in which she assured that from the middle of that year she began to receive emails that she attributes to Sanz Roldán. The general allegedly relied on a false identity to threaten him not to disseminate in the press any relevant information that he might have about La Corona and the Spanish State. In this act he also relates that an operation was launched to access his Monaco apartment and that , once settled in the United Kingdom, had a meeting with the former director of 'La Casa'. At that meeting, which was held at The Connaugh Hotel on May 5 of that year, he said that he could not guarantee his safety or that of his family unless he did not follow certain instructions, one of which was not to have no contact with the press since he "knew things" that could affect 45 million people, in reference to state secrets. He further relates that shortly thereafter he found a book on the death of Diana of Wales in her bedroom and received a phone call from an unknown person saying that there were many tunnels between Monaco and Nice. For these reasons, the King's private exam decided to take legal action in the United Kingdom and hired the prestigious lawyer James Lewis QC, known for exercising defense of the United States in his litigation against the founder of the Wikileaks portal, Julian Assange. This new judicial front occurs whenever Switzerland has sent a first batch of information to Spain about its inquiries for the fortune of King Emeritus. This documentation includes the statements made by Arturo Fasana, manager of the King's fortune in the Swiss country; by attorney Dante Canonical and Corinna herself. In her statement before the chief prosecutor of the canton of Geneva, Corinna insisted that the money received was a gift from the monarch that had nothing to do with a possible intermediation so that the consortium of Spanish companies was the winner of the millionaire AVE contract in Arabia Saudi. However, Bertossa tries to clarify the origin of the donation of the Saudi king in 2008 that the Lucum foundation managed through an account in the Swiss bank Mirabaud. The monarch, who appeared as the first beneficiary of this foundation, in turn remitted the 65 million euros to a bank account of his intimate exam in The Bahamas. Sources of his defense consulted by this means show distrust of the investigation opened in Spain and They assure that he is being used as a "scapegoat", for which reason they had refused to allow Geneva to deliver his statement to the Spanish Justice. However, the material contained in the letters rogatory provided by the Swiss prosecutor narrows the circle around the King's tax obligations. Specifically, and according to the newspaper El Español, the manager Fasana - who has also controlled Francisco Correa's accounts in Switzerland and other large fortunes in the country - pointed out in his statement that he was not aware that the Emeritus had declared the funds before the Spanish authorities. Apart from these inquiries that the Public Ministry directs, Corinna Larsen has a pending appointment with the Spanish Justice. The German will declare as a witness at the hearing that she will finally host a Madrid court for alleged slander by José Manuel Villarejo to Félix Sanz Roldán. The consultant will appear by videoconference in this trial that has already been postponed up to two times, to ratify the content that it collected in a 2019 notarial act. Precisely, the meeting that Corinna and Villarejo held in 2015 was the origin of the investigations in Spain . The recording of the same, that the investigators of the Tandem case were found in the registry of her home, led to the opening of a new piece of the cause named Carol. In it, the content of this meeting was investigated in which Corinna transferred to the retired commissioner that the King would have asked her to appear as figurehead of her accounts. The investigations, however, ended up being archived as the instructor of the National Court did not give credibility to these events that occurred while the King was Head of State and, therefore, inviolable. However, Anticorruption opened secret proceedings in order to clarify whether commissions of up to 80 million euros were paid for this award to the UTE of Spanish companies in 2011. In the framework of these requests rogatory commissions were requested from Switzerland which have ended by also affect the monarch Emeritus; reason why Anticorruption ceded the investigations to the Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court, taking into account that he is still a valued person.
