Airport of Teruel



Airport Teruel - Caudé (IATA code: TEV ICAO code: LETL), or Airport Platform - Teruel PLATA is an airport located in the municipality of Caudé, in the province of Teruel, Spain, and is in service from February 2013. It is the largest aircraft maintenance, long-term storage and recycling center in Europe.



The airport is established on the facilities of the former Air Force Caudé Air Base which, after becoming obsolete, was sold to Teruel City Council. The City Council of Teruel and the Provincial Council of Aragon are the promoters of this project and created in 2007 the Consortium of Teruel Airport, a public entity 60% owned by the General Council of Aragon and 40% by the City Council of Teruel.

It has a newly built runway 2825 meters long, an aircraft maintenance platform of 100000 m², and a parking platform of 120 hectares, the largest in Europe. The runway allows the take-off of suborbital flights. It has an industrial area of 33 ha for the establishment of companies.


It has a hangar with a capacity of up to a B747, another hangar with a capacity of up to an Airbus A320 or a B737, 3 executive aviation hangars and the construction of a double hangar with a capacity of an Airbus A380 is planned. which will be one of the largest in Europe. 


The airport is connected by road via the N-234 and the A-23.
